It's also given me a renewed interest in Shakespeare. The man must have been a genius. Reading the plays is not enough; you have to see them performed.

Okay - not to sound melodramatic, but I had goosebumps reading your review and imagining the actors on stage. You're right, Hamlet IS one of the most difficult Shakespearean plays - and seriously, what I wouldn't give to see one of these plays myself! Theatre is probably one of the most demanding genres ever - I think the hallmark of a good actor is how well s/he performs on stage. Lucky you!

I'm glad he did well in the role. If you haven't done Hamlet and you're an actor... well for shame.

Ha! Phantom of the Opera is only the start! Soon you'll descend down from Opera into the most deprived forms of Ballet, such as the Swan Lake. Once you reach that point, nothing can help you and you'll continue to fall. Only those who have hardened their eyes and souls with Dr.Who have a chance to reach the absolute bottom. There, the lowest of all entertainment remains in its most horrible and corrupt form; Performance Art.

Pay heed to this warning, or your soul will surely be lost for all eternity.

Tennant or Hamlet? — that is the question ;-)

Oh yeah, I thoroughly recommend theatre if you ever get a chance. I'd always scoffed at musicals, saying I'm not a song-and-dance type of person, but I can still hear the music of Phantom of the Opera in my head. I would pay to watch it again!

If I'd stayed any longer I'd have certainly ruined myself watching West End shows!

You have me craving for a performance of my own. I haven't seen any plays but for a couple staged in the college by students, and although I've always wanted to attend some, this post makes me want to do it asap. You sure are having fun!

And though it's pretty obvious, it's got be said. You're in love with Tennant.
