You're right, Hamlet IS one of the most difficult Shakespearean plays - and seriously, what I wouldn't give to see one of these plays myself! Theatre is probably one of the most demanding genres ever - I think the hallmark of a good actor is how well s/he performs on stage. Lucky you!
